Description:
Mallon by this composer from Nuremberg is an etude for a solo percussionist which requires joy of playing along with a sense for sound plus advanced technical skills. By arranging the instruments either in a circle or in steps, they can all be reached by every player. The notes have been set in a size which can even be read from a greater distance. This edition comes in sheets which allows flexible distribution to several music stands and avoids standstill due to the turning of pages. A variety of suitable instrumental melodic, harmonic and rhythmic 'gestures' with their variations, are presented one after the other such as: tonal and chordal repetition, block chords and broken chords, melodic flourishes and lines, arpeggios, glissandi and others. The melodic-harmonic material is based on specific interval relationships (minor seconds to tri-tones). Meters and rhythms have been developed from specific rows per addendum (1+2+3+5, etc.).
