Two hymn tunes 'Sagina' and 'Beecher' provide the basis on which this arrangement draws its inspiration. A strong beginning section gives way to a slower, gentle section with bass melody in octaves and shimmering, upper-treble accompaniment. Shakes are a characteristic of the third section and a freer feeling of the fourth. A strong, but open-fabric completes the work with a triple forte dynamic marking. This medley of 145 measures is scored in F Major.
