Description:
El color de tus ojos ('The Colour of Your Eyes') is a music piece composed for vibraphone with optional percussion accompaniment.
Written in the form of a developed rondo, all the interventions in the main Theme A show a certain Latin influence with the use of warm melodies and soft rhythms.
This influence is not only seen in the main theme, but throughout the piece, being em-phasised in Theme D in a slow samba-like rhythm, in a small improvisation between sections, and in Theme E, the most virtuoso of them all in the form of foot tapping.
In contrast to this style, Theme C contains a flamenco influence with a rumba rhythm, expressing more movement and using all the instrument's possible tessitura.
