The timpani and percussion originally come from two different musical worlds - classical music and jazz. In this composition, however, they unite in a new musical space that not only merges the instruments in terms of sound, but also their playing styles.
Elements and stylistic devices as well as different grooves and playing techniques of the two instruments mix or change into the other. The addition of the "Tonband" - which is made available as an MP3 file via a QR code - once again creates its own sound space - "A Space Drumpany". If the technology to play the MP3 file is not available, the work can be performed without audio files, whereby the performance with "Tonband" is to be preferred.
