Falling… in love' is the musical narrative of an ancient Antwerp folktale. A young boy and his lovely lady decided to get married. Their passion was stronger than ever. However, the parents of the young folks did not agree: their love became forbidden, and a marriage was impossible. Driven by despair, the young couple climbed up the tower of the cathedral. The fiancées jumped hand in hand, shattering their endless love into 1000 golden pieces. Seized by sadness and remorse, the families repented. As a means of penance and reconciliation, and to honor their children, they placed a monument close to the cathedral: a tombstone made out of 1000 golden pieces. Nothing can bring people closer together than the power of love.
