Gerhard Bergauer

Groove Factory

This collection brings together seven varied pieces for drumset and multi-percussion, developed by Gerhard Bergauer over ten years of practical teaching. Groove, energy and the joy of making music together are at the heart of the collection. The compact percussion setup consists mainly of bongos, two cowbells and tambourine, with a pedal-operated bass drum added in some pieces. The deliberately simple instrumentation uses instruments commonly available in music schools and rehearsal rooms. Clear structures and repetitions make the pieces accessible, while fill measures and solo passages provide space for improvisation and individual ideas. The short pieces are ideal for lessons, performances and competitions. A practical collection for two percussionists focusing on ensemble playing, timing, groove and the joy of making music.
