This original work by Ed Huckeby for flexible wind orchestra is written in classical overture form and contains many of his typical compositional stylistic elements: from exciting syncopations to a fresh harmonic development and beautiful melody lines. The simple but highly effective incorporation of alternating time signatures adds an extra element of surprise and makes the work an absolute must-have for any youth orchestra. Adventura is an excellent choice for smaller ensembles or orchestras with limited instrumentation. The piece can be performed with just five wind instruments and three or four percussionists.
