Description:
It's a great feeling when you hit the bullseye! In this case, it means placing the eight-note rest right on the second beat so that the eight-note comes at the right time and leads on to the quarter note on the third beat. As a contrast, everything lands right on the beat in the middle section. This is a great way to introduce counting concepts and to work effectively with eighth- and quarter-note rhythms.
