Description:
This is an original composition in the Flex-7 series. The piece starts out describing a scene where one in older times gathered around the fire singing and dancing. It opens and ends with a duet where most of the thematic material is presented. Then a rhythmic bass-drone enters as accompaniment for most of the piece. Through contrasting elements, a fugato section is building the piece up to a big highlight before we have a reprise. The piece utilizes modal harmonics, also something we know from older music.
This music is perfect for bands with a large percussion section, but can also be played with only a drum kit. It also suits bands looking for music with more independent voicing.
