Fanfare and Processional is a rousing concert opener for younger bands in the vein of the familiar Pomp and Circumstance by Edward Elgar. Careful consideration has been given with respect to the technical requirements of beginning musicians in this score. As suggested by the title, the work is also ideal as an occasional piece at ceremonies. This arrangement for flexible instrumentation by Aric Branchfield can be played by any SSATB combination of instruments with optional percussion, from 5 players through large ensembles.
