Jerusalema is a track by South African DJ and producer Master KG featuring South African singer Nomcebo Zikode. The gospel-influenced house track was initially released on November 29, 2019 after receiving positive reactions online, with a music video following on December 21 of the same year. It was later included on Master KG's second album of the same title, released in January 2020. In mid-2020, the song finally went viral and received international reactions due to the #JerusalemaChallenge. On June 19, 2020, a remix featuring Nigerian singer Burna Boy was released, which put the song on the US Billboard charts. The song's official music video was released on YouTube on December 21, 2019. Just under a year later, the video had been viewed over 100 million times, and by mid-2022 it reached the milestone of over half a billion views on YouTube, a rare feat for South African artists.
