This song is taken from the television advent calender 'Jul i Blåfjell' ('Christmas in the Blue Mountains') produced by Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) in 1999. It was a huge success which later led to theatrical productions and a successor 'Jul på Månetoppen' (2002).
Mamsen and Lillegutt (two of the characters in the series) are the two garbage handlers in the village of which the action takes place.
