Composed by George Gershwin in 1935, a soprano aria, Summertime as part of his folk opera Porgy and Bess is one of the most popular jazz standards of all time. This nice arrangement by Naoya Wada presents opportunities for featuring your soloist with concertband or a small wind ensemble. Most effective as a solo for Cornet/Trumpet, Soprano Saxophone or Alto Saxophone, it includes solo parts and is also playable by solo Flute, Oboe, Clarinet.
