Description:

Tuning the guitar to a full chord, rather than the standard 'concert' tuning, is a tradition that has its roots in the slide playing of the country-blues masters of the past. The approach is capable of creating large, rich sounding solo arrangements with the minimum of effort. In this DVD, Stefan Großman presents and analyses a variety of traditional open tunings in country, blues and Delta styles, exploring the chordal options characteristic of each tuning with seven exciting fingerstyle blues tunes.
