Description:
Immerse yourself in the fascinating soundscape of Java: With "Dewa", published by the renowned Edition Margaux, the classical guitar opens up to entirely new, exotic dimensions. This extraordinary sheet music edition features seven masterful etudes based on the traditional Javanese scales "Slendro" and "Pelog".
Musically, the cycle portrays the Hindu trinity of deities—Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva—along with the gods of the four elements. Far Eastern mysticism blends seamlessly with virtuosic guitar technique to create an incomparable listening and playing experience. "Dewa" challenges and inspires ambitious guitarists alike, making it ideal for striking concert performances as well as advanced study. Discover a richly nuanced work that brings the enchantment of Indonesian musical traditions to life on six strings!
