ELEGY is dedicated to a good friend of mine whom I met when I began my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the early 1980s. Geert Claessens was one of Belgium’s most talented guitarists, with an international reputation.
On August 11, 2023, he died tragically as a result of a bicycle accident.
