Fado de Lisboa

Lisboa, a port city, a place of crossroads and exchanges between sailors, fishermen, merchants, artisans and other passengers, shelters within it this song of the soul that is Fado. Although the origins of this music are still debated today, its roots are undoubtedly popular. Always evolving, Fado has crossed the ages reflecting the life of the different social classes and the different neighborhoods of the city. In this "Fado de Lisboa", Jean-Jacques Finbel has succeeded in offering a summary of this History always in motion. One more seed that will make its way on the Atlantic. Philippe de Sousa
