Description:
The first volume of an extensive collection of well-known, traditional and modern songs that can be categorized as "folk songs" in the broadest sense.
Not the usual piano arrangements or "lyrics and fingering" song collections, but complete new arrangements especially for the guitar. As far as the character of the songs allows, the arrangements strive for a differentiated and enriched harmony - beyond the "3 fingering scheme".
All songs have been transported into guitaristically meaningful keys and contain:
a picking pattern in the note and tablature system fingering diagrams above each song a diagram for finding the starting note when singing
Most arrangements contain: Accompaniment patterns for rhythm guitar with upbeat and downbeat signs continuous rhythm lines indicating quarter beats. Where it seemed useful, the arrangements were supplemented by:
easy and difficult versions of a piece preludes, interludes and postludes in tablature notation continuous tablatures for a differentiated accompaniment additional explanations of the accompaniment
Great importance was attached to clarity. The tedious turning of pages and "looking up fingerings" is no longer necessary because the above-mentioned editing elements can be grasped at a glance. The songbook also contains a detailed and easy-to-understand introduction to rhythm and tablature playing. The accompaniment techniques of "folk picking" and "bass chord playing" are thoroughly explained and illustrated with the help of diagrams.
