Description:
Unlike the current repertoire for three guitars composed by women, very few original guitar trios by women are known from earlier periods. This volume contains eight trios of which three were originally composed for guitars (Pratten and Just), two for three voices a cappella (Casulana and Farrenc), and three for two mandolins and guitar (Ross Ricci and Harrison).
This volume is published without fingerings. The compositions by Pratten and Just are the only exceptions: they include the composers’ own fingerings, with only a few minor adaptations by the editor.
