Description:
Among the works of Mertz, the leading Guitarist-Composer of his time in Central-Europe, his 7 Opera Fantasies, based on operas by Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi, are outstanding, and not to be confused with his Opern Revue which are of a lower level. Here we present their first publication, expertly edited by Mertz authority Graziano Salvoni, in this well-illustrated new critical scholarly edition with historical notes and critical commentaries.
