Description:
To celebrate the 80th birthday of the inestimable guitar music proponent Matanya Ophee; Barrientos chose a New Orleans style mambo as the perfect basis of his new concert piece. He particularly cites the four-chord descending minor chord progression known as the Andalusian cadence as an influence. For advanced performers.
