Description:
The Pastorale from his Christmas Concerto grosso, Op. 6, No. 8, has become world-famous and has even been featured in a movie. In this edition of the score for solo guitar, I sought to preserve the character of this polyphonic orchestral movement as much as possible while still making it playable on the guitar. The resulting arrangement once again highlights the guitar’s many possibilities and gives the piece a character all its own. The Pastorale, intended by Corelli for Christmas Eve ("fatto per la notte di Natale"), is certainly an enchanting and equally uplifting and joyful piece, both before and after Christmas.
