Description:
This "Sonatina Suite" was born from the friendship with Giulio Tampalini who, on the occasion of the creation of his CD dedicated to my music, proposed a different work from the composition of the "single" piece that generally constitutes my writing. It was the middle of winter, around me the cold kept gems and scents of a spring still far away, and the music that began to form brought with it a nostalgia that immediately reminded me of a haiku book that I occasionally leafed through... I looked for verses that would lead me to the hope of the return of the sun and the first warmth and the music arrived, in the wake of the seventeen syllables that form a haiku and that I have repeatedly reread and inserted as the subtitle of each piece. The titles of the Sonatina are deliberately in Spanish, to recall the classical tradition from which I come and which I always carry in my heart, in my search for musical "modernity" that wants first of all to communicate, writing songs without words, in a path where the listener is invited to enter in an almost confidential way and my guitar becomes the narrator.
