The New Basics: Guitar

Who better than the National Guitar Workshop and DayJams, America's first rock day camp, to get you started on the guitar? They know learning to play guitar is not about studying - -it's about playing. It's not called 'working' the guitar, it's called 'playing' the guitar, so it should be FUN! Veteran guitar educator and National Guitar Workshop co-founder Nathaniel Gunod has created this method to make learning easy and enjoyable. If you want to rock out, do you want to spend hours trying to figure out how to read music, and then plunk out 'The Old Gray Mare?' We didn't think so. No, we think you should learn power chords, boogie patterns, bluesy note bending, and sliding. In short, this is not your dad's guitar method! Put down that pencil, pick up that guitar, open this book, and PLAY!
