Maria Linnemann was born in Amsterdam in 1947 and grew up in England. She studied conducting, piano and violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London and later turned to the guitar. Since 1971 she has lived and worked as a musician, composer and pedagogue in Germany. She has travelled to numerous countries around the world. Many of her 500 compositions to date were written on these journeys. Maria Linnemann's music is appreciated and played a lot all over the world.
