The 25 solo pieces written by the renowned guitar teacher Dieter Kreidler are progressively arranged and are based in their compositional technique on the one hand on historical models by Baroque lutenists, on the other hand on the alternating bass technique that has emerged since 1920, which is celebrated today by such popular guitarists as Andy McKee or Tommy Emmanuel. In charming unpredictability, surprising volatility and pseudo-counterpoint, the student's technique is promoted and challenged by Kreidler's compositions and the associated exercises a technical challenge that is fun and can also be worked out well together in class with the duo versions included.
