Description:
The six pieces, which have been grouped under the title "Die Inselsuite," were composed in the summer of 2018 on the island of Rügen on the Baltic Sea. Each piece has its own musical character; for example, "Seeschwalbe" (The Tern) sounds lively and light, while the steam locomotive "Rasender Roland" chugs along in 5/8 and 9/8time signatures, and "Abend im Hafen" captures the atmosphere of a sailing harbor that fills the twilight hours with its strange sounds.
