Description:
Our series The mandolin in Italian baroque music wants to present Italian composers of the 18th century whose works have not been published for a long time. Lino Totaro, harpsichordist and conductor of the Ensemble Baroque in Turin, is responsible for discovering and selecting pieces for this series which are full of vivid expression and inventiveness. Carlo Giovanni Testori was born in Vercelli in 1714 where he died in 1782. In his hometown, he was teaching the violin as a maestro and later became director of music at the church Sant' Eusebio.
