Description:
Prelude e Blue Samba was originally composed as a solo for guitar, but the decision to use a larger ensemble—a plucked-string orchestra—allowed Oefner to incorporate additional ideas that could not have been realized in the solo version. The title "Blue Samba" refers to the blue note in measure 77.
The "Prelude" should be played with calm and inner strength.
