Description:
This composition consists of four movements that merge into each other. It was inspired by Bartholt Entens, a 16th-century nobleman and "Watergeus" ("water geuse") from Middelstum in the Dutch province of Groningen. The Gregorian chants Veni Creator Spiritus and Audite Nova by Orlando di Lasso run through the entire work, reflecting both the atmosphere of the Renaissance and the legacy of Entens' era. Powerful, dramatic passages impressively give shape to the stormy character of the main character. This versatile piece of music offers your orchestra the opportunity to show off its skills and makes all vocal sections shine!
