Description:
Lords of Velvet is a piece for concert band with optional choir and is dedicated to the royal family of Spain. The work has a solemn and majestic character, similar to a hymn. It begins with a brief introduction of the main motif along with the (optional) chorus. Then there is a brief transition without the chorus to finally crenellate back to the main theme, this time majestically, together with the (optional) chorus and with minor variations with new rhythmic motifs in brass and percussion, among others.
