Description:
Berceuse ("Lullaby") is the first movement of the six-movement Dolly Suite, Op. 56, which Faure composed for four-hand piano. Transposed up a half step, this arrangement for woodwind quintet and piano alternatingly assigns the melody to flute, oboe, piano, and horn. All the instruments except horn and bassoon supply the rocking motives.
