Description:
This is a setting of three medieval Latin poems. The score contains an English translation above the staves. The first poem is similar to the well-known "Stabat Mater" and tells of Mary's suffering as she witnesses the crucifixion of her son. The second poem condemns transient earthly joys in favor of eternal glory in heaven, and the third sings of Christ's joy as he ascends to his Father in heaven.
