Description:
Daniel Schnyder wrote the Carmen Suite as an opera paraphrase for a dance performance featuring the flamenco dancer Nina Corti and the Carmina Quartet. Later, I adapted the work for piano trio. This music, based on the most famous opera, is perfectly suited for dance performances. The instrumental interludes create opportunities for direct interactions between musicians and dancers.
