When Andreas Martin Hofmeir* asked Roland Szentpali to write a piece for tuba, piano, percussion (ad lib.) and strings, the composer was pressed for time and took themes from a previous work (Pearls III, Editions Bim TU169) to fulfill this wish. The result is a lively and jazzy "chill music", a cool concert piece that will inspire and loosen up the audience. * Andreas Martin Hofmeir, born in 1978, won first prize at the international tuba competition in Porcia in 2004. Today he is a professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and an internationally acclaimed tuba virtuoso (classical, jazz, pop, rock). He played the "Chill Fantasy" in Germany with the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Marcus Bosch six times on the occasion of the New Year's Concert Series (January 3 to 9, 2015). http://andreas-martin-hofmeir.com/
