Cuatro Canciones Navideñas

This collection of holiday and Christmas classics is sure to be a hit with your mariachi student ensemble. The shared melodic lines in Good King Wenceslas (Buen Rey Wenceslao) and Jingle Bells (Cascabeles) will energize students and encourage full ensemble participation. Ode to Joy (Himno de Alegría) showcases mariachi style by incorporating rhythmic elements from both ranchera and bolero traditions. Utilizing open positions and doubling the main vocal line, Away in a Manger (Jesús en el Pesebre) gives every ensemble member an opportunity to sing and/or play the melody. With accessible ranges and rhythms, repeated phrases, and familiar melodies, directors will find these arrangements easy to integrate into their holiday programs, whether as individual features or as part of a full concert set.
