The new Quempas standard work for Advent and Christmas One of the pioneering publications from the early days of the Bärenreiter publishing house is now available in a modernized and newly compiled form. 41 songs for the Advent and Christmas season can be sung and played in various instrumentations. The melody edition in the familiar small format invites children to color in the line drawings by Hilde Schwenn. The instrumental combinations are varied: piano solo and with three instruments, a quartet version, playable for recorders, wind instruments and strings. Together with a mixed choir, motet-like compositions can be arranged for concerts, celebrations and church services, also in alternation with monophonic singing. What characterizes the new Quempas? - Well-known old and new Advent and Christmas carols - Melody edition with illustrations for coloring - All editions with the same song material - For family, kindergarten, school, church Ingo Bredenbach is an experienced practitioner and composer for children and adults. Born in Wuppertal, he worked as a cantor in the Rhineland and as a district cantor in Nagold before becoming a professor and rector at the University of Church Music in Tübingen in 2009.
