Description:
The representative Latin psalm composition "Deus, judicium tuum" (Ps. 71/72) is one of the best from Telemann's pen. Its composition is linked to his eight-month trip to Paris in the fall of 1737, during which he celebrated triumphs in the musical life of the metropolis. As he proudly reports, the piece was "performed twice in three days in the Concert spirituel by almost a hundred select people". Three magnificent choral movements surround a colorful sequence of demanding solo movements.
