Description:
Antonio Vivaldi's setting of the psalm "Dixit Dominus" (RV 594) stands among the most splendid and monumental masterpieces of Venetian vocal and sacred music. Scored for double choir and double orchestra—featuring vocal soloists, two mixed choirs (SATB/SATB), four oboes, four trumpets, strings, and two basso continuo groups—this impressive work unfolds an overwhelming richness of sound and dramatic brilliance. With this edition from Carus-Verlag, ensembles receive the complete set of wind parts (Harmoniestimmen) in outstanding editorial quality and optimal layout. An essential performance material to bring Vivaldi's festive polychoral architecture to life with power, style, and authenticity in both concert and liturgical settings.
