This cycle of twelve pieces on the Passion and Easter story was created during the first phase of the coronavirus pandemic and the associated lockdown.
Performers and listeners alike are taken directly into the events of the biblical stories on site. Between the choral pieces, there are texts that translate the content of the pieces into German. At the same time, there is always the question of the meaning, significance and translation of the biblical Passion narrative into the present day. What does Easter still have to do with me personally today? The varied musical arrangement of the individual pieces, which ranges from classical echoes of a requiem to pop and Latin elements, is well suited to a modern gospel or crossover choir. The pieces are written in English. The appendix contains the specific German translation for rehearsals with the choirs.
