Experience Baroque splendor and devotional resonance with the New Year Oratorio 1748, "Erzählet, ihr Himmel, die göttlichen Werke". Conceived as an expressive musical devotion for New Year's Eve ("Musicalische Andacht am Neuen Jahres-Abende"), this work blends festive jubilation with heartfelt spirituality for the turn of the year. The rich instrumentation captivates performers and audiences alike: brilliant trumpets and timpani meet expressive solo sections, a resonant four-part mixed choir (SATB), and a nuanced orchestra featuring flute, bassoon, strings, and basso continuo. A musical gem that will enrich any festive New Year program.
