Description:
Five in the Afternoon by Paul Sarcich is written for Trumpet in C, Keyboards and Percussion and was commissioned by Australian trumpeter Gordon Webb. It is based on the poem Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías, by Federico García Lorca Straight, cup, harmon and stand-mounted hat trumpet mutes are required. The Keyboards are Piano, Harpsichord, Celeste and also handle castanets and a marimba mallet are required. For the percussion 5 Timpani, Marimba, Glockenspiel, Tenor Drum, Castanets, Tambourine, Cymbal, Crotales in A and D, Chimes in A and A, Rod Chimes, Glock Chimes, Spring Coil, Tam tam, handle Castanets are used.
