Pohjannoro scored success with this work at the international Henri Dutilleux composition competition in 2017. Of this work, the composer says: 'images, hommages is a series of miniature tributes to a number of artists whose works have had a profound effect on me - though, naturally, many other artists could have been included too.' Each musician of the quintet will need their own copy of the performances score.
