Description:
An unsual grouping of instruments is used in this unusual and intricate performance piece; which was inspired by the incredible Buddhist mandalas (or cosmograms). Ewazen infuses the work with his impressions of three specific mandalas that captured him; as well as performance touches that reflect Buddhist tradition and practices. The three movement work is dedicated to the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble. For advanced performers. Dur.: 24'
