Description:
A commissioned composition for the diocese of Trier on the occasion of its 40-year partnership with Bolivia. The composition attempts to allow Bolivian and European music to become a common language. The mass is intended as a congregational mass; the choral movements are only provided with chord symbols, metronome markings and an instrumental part. The instrumentation of the accompaniment is thus kept variable. "Gabriel attempts with great success to make Bolivian and European music become a common language." (Kirchenmusik im Bistum Limburg, 1/2002) "The Misa is a good opportunity to involve the congregation more than usual in the liturgical setting. It is a mixture of catchy melodies and jazzy rhythms."
