Description:
Gunther Martin Göttsche is one of the most distinguished composers of church music today. His countless works, ranging from small canons to full-length oratorios, have been published in over 60 individual editions and collections by 14 publishers. One of the major commissions he regularly receives is for the present Latin mass for a pilgrimage to Rome by the choirs of the diocese of Fulda; the premiere took place in the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore. Göttsche's style is always tonally anchored and at the same time focused on distinctive sonority as well as comprehensibility and easy comprehensibility for performers and listeners. Due to the large audience for the premiere, particular attention was paid to the technical ease of realization and a pleasant range for all parts. The mass can be performed with wind or organ accompaniment only or a combination of both. A new, traditional Ordinary with fresh charm and appeal for choirs eager to discover! With Credo.
