Description:
The title Natura Electrica refers to the dialogue between the solo electric guitar and the acoustic ensemble. I see the concerto form as a search for harmonization between the group and the individual. In the case of this piece, it's about the meeting of these two entities and the possibility of a cohabitation of sounds of different natures. The electric guitar becomes a resonant object of which the ensemble is an extension: the guitar's slightly modified tuning (featuring a slight "scordatura") is used as a generating element for the harmonic structure. Acoustic sound intertwines with electric resonance in a dimension where differences are not cancelled out, but amplified. Each becomes part of a whole in an oscillatory movement, to the rhythm of electrical pulsations and vibrations. Giulia Lorusso
