Description:
With this 1988 setting of the 'Nunc dimittis' ('Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace'), Strube Verlag presents an exceptionally atmospheric composition of the biblical Song of Simeon. The fascinating and colorful instrumentation for four-part mixed choir (SATB), vibraphone, organ, and double bass creates an incomparable atmosphere of spiritual depth and inner tranquility. The harmonious interplay of sustained choral textures, the warm foundation of the double bass, ethereal vibraphone accents, and the majestic organ captivates performers and audiences alike. A deeply moving work for ambitious choir concerts, liturgical services, or sacred evening concerts, bringing a unique and meditative highlight to any musical program.
