Description:
O Farol is a short piece inspired by the painting of the same name by Brazilian painter Anita Catarina Malfatti. The special feature of the painting is that the lighthouse is painted in daylight, which transfigures its symbolism. Likewise, the musical atmosphere oscillates between the description of a dream and some clear elements that emerge, in a kind of "borderland" where nothing appears for what it is and where the power of symbols is constantly transcended and transformed.
During this little musical journey, light and darkness, the said and the unsaid, reality and dream separate and unite - one without the other is not possible.
