In this four-movement work, Gabriel Prokofiev reaches back into the centuries-old tradition of the piano trio , whilst at the same time exploring new sounds, textures & rhythms, including references to "funk" and "techno". Consequently, this Piano Trio reflects on the idea that even though modern day human experiences have considerably changed over time, our emotions and feelings are somehow constant, and they unite us across generations and cultures. The first performance was given by the Van Baerle Trio on 23rd February 2023, at the Tivoli Vredenburg, Utrecht.
